“Refined” Version Of Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty Hits Vita Today
Gotta love Oddworld .
After releasing for PlayStation 4 , Xbox One and PC, the latest series entry finally lands on PlayStation Vita today.
As announced over at the PlayStation Blog , Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty launches for Sony's portable as a "refined, specially adapted version of the game that plays to the strengths of the mobile format." Said executive producer Bennie Terry:
"PS Vita is a wonderful machine, and for Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty it grants us–for the first time with this particular game–the ability to build an experience designed to be enjoyed on the bus, or laid back on the sofa, or for those sneaky 10-minute distractions under the desk while your boss calls this week's Important Meeting."
Terry added that the team has "worked tirelessly" to ensure the visuals match up as closely as possible to the other versions. In fact, the game is "a little grittier" and it actually more closely resembles the original 1997 classic. And hey, that's just fine by us. New 'n' Tasty also boasts Trophies but in order to snag the elusive Platinum, you have to save every Mudokon in less than three hours. …good luck with that.
